KP Education Department Introduces New System for Teacher Transfers and Promotions

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Education Department has introduced a new administrative system to streamline matters related to teachers’ promotions, transfers, regularization and other service issues.

According to a notification issued by the Education Directorate, the responsibilities of Deputy Directors (Establishment) have been reorganized and divided between Establishment-I and Establishment-II.

Under the new arrangement, Deputy Director Establishment-II will deal with administrative matters concerning officers in Grade 17 and above. Meanwhile, matters related to employees up to Grade 16 have been assigned to Deputy Director Establishment-I.

The notification further states that cases involving the regularization of Senior School Teachers (SSTs), school leaders and other teachers will be handled by Deputy Director Aftab Ahmad.

The authority to deal with Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs), seniority and transfers of officers in Grade 17 and above has also been assigned to Deputy Director Establishment-II.

The new distribution of responsibilities is aimed at clearly defining administrative authority and improving the handling of service-related cases within the Education Department. The changes are expected to provide a more organized mechanism for dealing with promotion, transfer and regularization matters.

KP Police Announces Major Transfer and Posting of Senior Officers

Meanwhile, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Department has ordered the transfer and posting of two senior police officers with immediate effect.

According to a notification issued by the Office of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), KP, Shahbaz Ellahi PSP (BS-19) has been transferred from his position as District Police Officer (DPO), Lakki Marwat, and posted as SSP Security, Special Branch, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

At the same time, Sajjad Ahmad Sahibzada PSP (BS-18), who was serving as SSP Security, Special Branch, has been posted as DPO Lakki Marwat, replacing Shahbaz Ellahi.

The notification was issued by the Provincial Police Officer, KP, under the powers conferred by Section 15(4) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Act, 2017.

According to the notification dated August 23, 2026, the transfers and postings have been made in the public interest and will take effect immediately. Relevant police and administrative authorities have been directed to ensure implementation of the orders.
