Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Denies Reports of His Engagement and Marriage
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has denied reports circulating on social media regarding his engagement and marriage.
In a video statement, Bilawal Bhutto said that if any such decision is made in his personal life, his family would make the announcement. He rejected reports claiming that he had become engaged or was preparing to get married.
Bilawal said social media had already “fixed his match” and announced his engagement and marriage, despite no such development taking place. He also clarified that he does not know anyone named “Princess Gloria,” who had been mentioned in some reports circulating online.
According to Bilawal, the reports are part of a social media spectacle intended to divert public attention from important national issues.
During his statement, the PPP chairman also raised concerns over the death of 14 children in the PIMS hospital incident in Islamabad. He criticized a federal minister over comments concerning the creation of new provinces and accused the minister of failing to manage even a single hospital effectively.
Bilawal further alleged that the minister was asking businessmen in Lahore to create and run provinces, while the Sindh Assembly was taking what he described as a courageous position on the issue.
Earlier, reports had claimed that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and President Asif Ali Zardari were in Vienna for discussions with an Austrian family regarding Bilawal’s possible engagement.
Some reports circulating on social media had linked Bilawal’s alleged future bride to the former Austrian royal family, the House of Habsburg-Lorraine. Other reports claimed that she was connected to the family of Austria’s last emperor, Charles I.
However, Bilawal’s latest statement has rejected the reports of any engagement or marriage, making it clear that no such development has taken place. He also said that any major decision concerning his personal life would be officially announced by his family.
