Gold Becomes Cheaper Again, Per-Tola Price Falls to Rs465,336
Gold prices decline further in Pakistan as international rates also drop
Islamabad: Gold prices have continued to decline in both local and international markets, providing some relief to consumers amid fluctuations in precious metal prices.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold decreased by Rs800 per tola, bringing the new price of one tola of gold to Rs465,336.
The price of 10 grams of gold also fell by Rs686, reaching Rs398,950. The latest decline comes after gold prices dropped by Rs1,800 per tola a day earlier, indicating a continued downward trend in the domestic market.
Gold prices in Pakistan are closely linked to international market rates, the exchange rate and developments in the global economy. Any significant movement in these factors can have a direct impact on local bullion prices.
Meanwhile, gold also became cheaper in the international market. The price of gold declined by $8 per ounce, falling to $4,428 per ounce.
The decline in international prices has also contributed to the recent decrease in domestic gold rates. Market participants are closely monitoring global economic developments, currency movements and investor sentiment to determine the future direction of gold prices.
The continued reduction in gold prices may provide some relief to consumers planning to purchase jewellery or invest in gold. However, market analysts note that precious metal prices can change rapidly depending on international economic and financial conditions.
If the downward trend in global gold prices continues, further reductions in Pakistan’s local market may also be possible. On the other hand, any recovery in international prices or changes in the exchange rate could reverse the recent decline.
For now, the domestic market has recorded another reduction, with the price of one tola of gold standing at Rs465,336 and 10 grams at Rs398,950.
