KP POLICE ANNOUNCES MAJOR TRANSFER AND POSTING OF SENIOR OFFICERS
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Department has announced the transfer and posting of two senior police officers with immediate effect as part of a major reshuffle.
According to a notification issued by the Office of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), KP, Shahbaz Ellahi PSP (BS-19) has been transferred from his position as District Police Officer (DPO), Lakki Marwat, and posted as SSP Security, Special Branch, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Meanwhile, Sajjad Ahmad Sahibzada PSP (BS-18), who was serving as SSP Security, Special Branch, has been appointed as the new DPO Lakki Marwat, replacing Shahbaz Ellahi.
The notification was issued by the Provincial Police Officer, KP, under the powers granted under Section 15(4) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Act, 2017.
According to the notification dated August 23, the transfers and postings have been made in the public interest and will take effect immediately. Relevant police and administrative authorities have been directed to implement the orders accordingly.
KP GOVERNMENT ALSO ANNOUNCES SENIOR OFFICER RESHUFFLE
The KP government had also announced several transfers and postings of senior provincial officers on August 21 through separate notifications issued by the Establishment and Human Resource Management Department.
Under the reshuffle, Muhammad Shiraz (PMS, BS-19), Additional Secretary in the Science and Technology and Information Technology Department, was transferred and appointed as Director General of the Kaghan Development Authority (KDA).
His appointment came after former KDA Director General Rehmat Ali (PMS, BS-18) was removed from the post and directed to report to the Human Resource Management Department.
Changes were also made in the Fisheries Department following a decision by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Service Tribunal.
Senior Director Fisheries Muhammad Shafi Marwat (BPS-20) was promoted and appointed as Director General Fisheries, KP, while former DG Fisheries Zubair Ali (BPS-20) was posted as Senior Director Fisheries.
The Establishment and Human Resource Management Department said all transfers, postings and appointments would take effect immediately.
