KPRA launches ‘KPRA Sahulat’ mobile app to facilitate taxpayers
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) has launched its dedicated mobile application, ‘KPRA Sahulat,’ on the Google Play Store as part of its efforts to improve public convenience through digital technology.
The new application has been designed to provide citizens, taxpayers and business owners with convenient digital access to essential sales tax services while also offering transparent mechanisms for reporting complaints and resolving grievances.
The KPRA Sahulat app provides a range of services through a single platform. Its key features include real-time invoice verification through QR code scanning, a reporting facility for unverified or suspicious receipts, an interactive sales tax calculator and offline access to Schedule-II tax rates.
The application also includes a live tax calendar to help taxpayers keep track of filing deadlines. Users can verify registered businesses through their National Tax Number (NTN), track complaints submitted to the authority and access official notifications and taxpayer guides.
Speaking about the launch, KPRA Director General Irum Naz said the initiative is aligned with the provincial government’s vision of governance reforms and improved public service delivery.
She said the digital platform would empower citizens by providing them with easier access to information and services while enabling them to exercise their rights and raise concerns through a transparent mechanism.
The DG KPRA also acknowledged the support of Advisor to the Chief Minister on Finance Muzzammil Aslam and Secretary Finance Captain (Rtd) Kamran Ahmad Afridi, saying their guidance and support had helped the authority make progress in improving its public services.
Irum Naz also appreciated the KPRA ICT team for developing the application in-house, describing the initiative as an important step toward strengthening digital service delivery in the province.
The authority has also announced that an iOS version of the application is currently under development. According to KPRA, the development team is working to finalise the iOS version, which will be made available on the Apple App Store in the near future.
The KPRA Sahulat app is currently available free of charge on the Google Play Store for Android users. The initiative is expected to make tax-related services more accessible while improving transparency, convenience and communication between taxpayers and the revenue authority.
