Barrister Saif Meets Imran Khan at Adiala Jail, PTI and Health Issues Discussed

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif met party founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail, where they discussed party affairs, the prevailing political situation and Imran Khan’s health.

According to local media reports, the meeting took place at Adiala Jail on Tuesday night. Barrister Saif briefed the PTI founder on various party matters and developments related to the current political situation.

Imran Khan’s health was also discussed during the meeting, particularly in light of recent developments concerning his medical treatment and the legal proceedings surrounding his healthcare.

The meeting came a day after the Supreme Court ordered that Imran Khan be shifted to a private hospital for medical treatment and directed the formation of a medical board to oversee his examination and treatment.

Following permission from the court, Imran Khan’s sister, Noreen Niazi, also met the PTI founder at Adiala Jail. According to sources, the meeting took place in the jail’s conference room, where they discussed Imran Khan’s health and other matters.

Sources said Noreen Niazi also briefed her brother about the Supreme Court’s decision and its directions regarding his treatment. The meeting reportedly lasted around 45 minutes.

The latest meeting between Barrister Saif and Imran Khan comes amid increased political and legal attention surrounding the PTI founder’s health, treatment and continued imprisonment.

Meanwhile, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan has reiterated that Imran Khan is not seeking any political deal and considers his continued imprisonment unjust.

Speaking to reporters at Parliament House, Gohar said the federal government’s review petition against the Supreme Court’s order had not yet been assigned a number. He urged the authorities to implement the court’s decision, stressing that considerable time had been taken before the order was issued.

Gohar also welcomed the authorities’ facilitation of the meeting between Imran Khan and Noreen Niazi. He said he had not spoken to Noreen following her meeting with the PTI founder and appreciated her decision to maintain discretion about their conversation.

Reiterating the party’s position, Gohar said Imran Khan was not involved in any deal and remained committed to his political and legal stance.

The developments come as the federal government challenges the Supreme Court’s order regarding Imran Khan’s transfer to Shifa International Hospital, making his medical treatment an increasingly important legal and political issue.
