Rescue 1122 KP Promotes 27 Officers and Officials in Special Ceremony
PESHAWAR: A special ceremony was held at the Provincial Headquarters of Rescue 1122 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Peshawar to honor officers and officials who were recently promoted in recognition of their service and professional contributions.
Secretary Relief, Rehabilitation and Settlement Sohail Khan and Additional Secretary Relief Zia-ur-Rehman attended the ceremony as special guests. Upon their arrival, the distinguished guests were presented with a Guard of Honour by a smartly turned-out contingent of Rescue 1122 personnel.
During the ceremony, Secretary Relief Sohail Khan and Director General Rescue 1122 Shah Fahad placed new rank badges and shoulder insignia on the uniforms of the promoted officers and officials.
According to the decisions of the Departmental Promotion Committee, 27 officers and officials from different cadres were promoted on a regular basis. The promotions include one Procurement Officer to Deputy Director Procurement (BPS-18), seven Emergency Officers to District Emergency Officer (BPS-18), and 19 Station House Incharges to Emergency Officer (BPS-17).
Addressing the ceremony, Secretary Relief Sohail Khan congratulated the promoted personnel and praised the services of Rescue 1122 staff across the province. He said rescue workers perform their duties with courage, dedication and determination, often operating in extremely challenging and dangerous circumstances.
He emphasized the importance of professional development and encouraged officers and officials to enhance their skills through higher education, specialized training courses and professional certifications. He said the government would also work on a fast-track promotion mechanism to encourage personnel who acquire additional education and professional expertise.
Sohail Khan further assured Rescue 1122 employees that their genuine issues and other departmental matters would be addressed on a priority basis. He stressed that merit, seniority and transparency would remain the key principles in promotions, postings and other administrative decisions.
Director General Rescue 1122 Shah Fahad said the recruitment process in the organization had been completed in accordance with the clear directions of the Chief Minister, Chief Secretary and Provincial Minister for Relief Department. He emphasized that the recruitment was conducted on the basis of merit and transparency.
Shah Fahad described the recently recruited personnel as one of the strongest merit-based batches in the history of Rescue 1122 KP. He said the newly trained staff would play an important role in delivering timely, effective and professional emergency services to citizens across the province.
The Director General also congratulated the promoted officers and officials, acknowledging their courage, hard work and commitment to public service. He said Rescue 1122 personnel routinely put their own lives at risk while responding to emergencies and disasters, making their dedication a valuable asset for the organization.
He reaffirmed that measures for the welfare, professional development and resolution of genuine issues faced by Rescue 1122 personnel would continue. The promoted officials were urged to perform their new responsibilities with greater dedication, professionalism and commitment.
The ceremony concluded with prayers and best wishes for the promoted personnel. Participants also reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening Rescue 1122 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as a modern, efficient and professional emergency response service.
