Cement Prices Fall Across Pakistan — Latest Rates Released
ISLAMABAD: Retail cement prices recorded a slight decline in northern parts of Pakistan during the week ended August 20, 2026, while prices in southern regions remained unchanged, according to the latest data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).
The average retail price of a 50kg cement bag in northern areas fell by 0.30%, declining from Rs1,569 in the previous week to Rs1,565.
Meanwhile, cement prices in southern cities remained stable, with the average price standing at Rs1,547 per bag.
Among major northern cities, the average price was Rs1,532 in Islamabad, Rs1,535 in Rawalpindi, Rs1,600 in Gujranwala, Rs1,570 in Sialkot and Rs1,590 in Lahore. In Faisalabad, the price stood at Rs1,550, while Sargodha recorded Rs1,600 per bag.
The average price in Multan was Rs1,591, followed by Rs1,560 in Bahawalpur, Rs1,573 in Peshawar and Rs1,510 in Bannu.
In southern areas, cement was priced at Rs1,518 per bag in Karachi, Rs1,600 in Sukkur, Rs1,523 in Larkana, Rs1,520 in Quetta and Rs1,650 in Khuzdar.
According to the PBS figures, Khuzdar recorded the highest cement price at Rs1,650 per bag, while Bannu had the lowest price at Rs1,510 among the cities covered.
Overall, cement prices remained relatively stable across the country, with only a marginal decline recorded in the northern region during the week under review.
The latest figures indicate that consumers in northern areas received limited relief, while prices in southern markets remained unchanged.
