Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC) has strongly rejected allegations of irregularities in recent appointments circulating in sections of the media and on social media platforms, clarifying that all recruitment processes were conducted strictly in accordance with the Medical Teaching Institutions (MTI) Act 2015 and its prescribed rules and regulations.

In an official statement, the hospital administration emphasized that the entire appointment process was carried out under the supervision of the Board of Governors (BoG), following a fully transparent and legally defined procedure. It said that at no stage was there any deviation from the established legal framework, and all decisions were taken in line with institutional governance requirements.

The administration further clarified that recent administrative decisions, including the appointment of the Medical Director, fall within the lawful authority of the BoG under the MTI governance structure. It stated that such decisions are part of routine institutional management and should not be misinterpreted or misrepresented as irregularities.

According to the statement, no position at HMC was filled outside the legal and regulatory framework. The hospital reiterated that all selections and appointments were completed through due process, ensuring merit, transparency, and compliance with MTI rules. It further noted that the Board of Governors is fully empowered under the law to make administrative, financial, and operational decisions necessary for the smooth functioning of the institution.

HMC stressed that the MTI Act 2015 was designed to strengthen institutional autonomy, improve healthcare delivery, and ensure professional governance in medical institutions. It said that all decisions taken by the BoG are aimed at improving efficiency, enhancing patient care, and maintaining high professional standards within the hospital system.

The hospital administration also expressed concern over what it termed as “misleading and baseless allegations” being circulated without verification. It urged media outlets and social media users to avoid spreading unverified information that could create unnecessary confusion and damage the reputation of a public healthcare institution serving thousands of patients daily.

Reaffirming its commitment to transparency and merit-based practices, HMC stated that it continues to prioritize professional excellence and accountability in all its operations. The administration highlighted that maintaining public trust is a core responsibility of the institution, and all administrative actions are taken with this principle in mind.

The statement further said that the hospital is focused on providing quality healthcare services to the public, and any attempt to undermine its governance structure through false narratives is regrettable. It added that the institution will continue to uphold strict standards of accountability and will not compromise on merit in any recruitment or administrative process.

Officials at HMC also pointed out that the Board of Governors operates within a clearly defined legal framework and has the authority to take necessary decisions for institutional improvement. They said that such governance mechanisms are essential for ensuring efficient healthcare delivery and effective management of resources.

The hospital administration urged all stakeholders, including media representatives, to verify facts before publishing or sharing information related to institutional affairs. It emphasized that responsible reporting is crucial in maintaining public confidence in healthcare institutions.

In conclusion, HMC reiterated its commitment to ensuring merit, transparency, and professional integrity in all its operations. It assured that the institution will continue to function in accordance with the law while providing uninterrupted and quality healthcare services to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
