Imran Khan’s Shifa Hospital Transfer: When Will He Be Moved?
ISLAMABAD: Arrangements have reportedly been completed to transfer Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan from Adiala Jail to Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad, with sources indicating that the transfer could take place today.
According to sources, preparations for the former prime minister’s transfer have been finalised following the Supreme Court’s order directing authorities to facilitate his treatment at Shifa International Hospital.
The transfer is expected to take place after the relevant authorities complete the remaining administrative and security formalities. Officials are reportedly coordinating the arrangements to ensure that the process is carried out in accordance with the court’s directions.
If transferred, Imran Khan will continue receiving medical treatment at the hospital under the supervision of doctors. The development comes amid ongoing discussions between the government and legal authorities over the implementation of the Supreme Court’s decision.
Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is reportedly holding a meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, where the possible transfer of Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital is also being discussed in light of the Supreme Court’s ruling.
