KP Police Announces Transfers and Postings of Two DSPs
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police has ordered the transfer and posting of two Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) with immediate effect in the public interest.
According to an official notification issued by the office of the Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Saif-ur-Rehman, DSP (BS-17), has been transferred from his position as DSP Legal, City Traffic Peshawar, and posted as SP Traffic Warden Bannu in his own pay and scale.
Meanwhile, Ehsan-ud-Din, DSP (BS-17), has been transferred from his position as SP Traffic Warden Bannu and placed at the disposal of the Commandant Special Security Unit (SSU) CPEC, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, for further posting as SP in his own pay and scale.
The notification was issued under the powers vested in the Provincial Police Officer, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, under Section 17(4) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Act, 2017.
The transfers and postings will take effect immediately.
KP Police Appoints 38 Computer Operators Through ETEA Recruitment
Meanwhile, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police has appointed 38 new computer operators selected through the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA) examination as part of its efforts to strengthen merit-based recruitment.
Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed handed over appointment letters to the newly selected computer operators during a ceremony at the Central Police Office in Peshawar. Additional inspectors general, deputy inspectors general and other senior police officials attended the ceremony.
Congratulating the newly appointed employees, the IGP said recruitment in the KP Police was being conducted strictly on the principles of merit, competence and transparency, with no compromise on the process.
He said the candidates selected through ETEA had earned their positions by demonstrating their abilities and qualifications, adding that their appointments reflected the opportunities available to talented and deserving youth to join the police force.
Addressing the new computer operators, the IGP said they had not simply received government jobs but had become part of an important national institution. He urged them to use their technical skills, dedication and professional capabilities to improve public service and strengthen the police’s institutional systems.
The IGP highlighted the growing role of technology in modern policing, saying digital records, data management and rapid information systems had become essential for effective law enforcement.
He said the appointment of technically skilled personnel would help improve the KP Police’s digital and administrative systems, while the new computer operators would contribute to strengthening the force’s digital infrastructure and office operations.
“We are building a police force that is equipped with modern technology, professionally strong and capable of providing timely services to the public,” the IGP said.
He urged the newly appointed employees to perform their duties with honesty, discipline, dedication and professional responsibility.
The IGP also reiterated that capable personnel in the KP Police would be provided opportunities for professional growth as part of efforts to develop a modern, strong and professional police force capable of meeting evolving security and administrative challenges.
The newly appointed computer operators include Nauman Khan, Amir Abbas, Khalifa, Sajid Iqbal, Mumtaz Ahmed, Roman Aziz, Adnan Shah, Muhammad Umar, Asif Ali Shah, Dadu Shah, Sajid Ali, Hazrat Bilal, Muhammad Asim, Muhammad Waqas, Hazrat Qayyum, Arsalan, Irfan Ali, Ashfaq Ahmed, Muhammad Kazim, Sanaullah, Muhammad Ali, Junaid Ahmed, Wajid Khan, Abdul Rehman, Jamal Nasir, Faheem Syed, Isa Khan, Waqar Ali, Farmanullah, Tariq Ali, Muhammad Zubair, Ataullah, Imran Ahmed, Muhammad Muneebullah, Ibad-ur-Rehman, Arsalan Ali and Musaddiq Ejaz Qureshi.
The IGP handed over appointment letters to the newly selected personnel and expressed his best wishes for their professional careers, urging them to consider their new responsibilities a form of national service.
