Third Online Open Forum Held at Hayatabad Medical Complex Peshawar

Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC) Peshawar organized its third online Open Forum (Khuli Kachehri), providing citizens with an opportunity to directly share their complaints, concerns, and suggestions with the hospital administration.
The session was attended by Hospital Director Dr. Gulzar Ahmad Khan, Medical Director Prof. Dr. Khalid Khan, and Director Nursing Barkat Ullah Khan. During the forum, participants raised questions regarding healthcare services, treatment facilities, cleanliness, availability of medicines, nursing care, and other administrative matters.
Citizen Muhammad Siddique appreciated the services of HMC doctors, nurses, and supporting staff. He expressed satisfaction with the quality of healthcare and praised the professional attitude of the hospital staff towards patients. In response, the administration thanked him and stated that providing quality healthcare and ensuring patient satisfaction remain their top priorities.
Another participant, Sufyan, highlighted several issues faced by patients and their attendants. Responding to his concerns, Hospital Director Dr. Gulzar Ahmad Khan assured participants that all genuine complaints and suggestions would be addressed promptly through the relevant departments.
Medical Director Prof. Dr. Khalid Khan emphasized that the provision of quality and timely healthcare services remains the institution’s foremost priority. He noted that initiatives such as Open Forums strengthen communication between the public and hospital administration and contribute to improving institutional performance.
Responding to a question regarding the new Emergency Block, Dr. Gulzar Ahmad Khan informed participants that the project is 98 percent complete and will be opened to the public once the remaining funds are released by the government. He said the facility will provide modern and expanded healthcare services, significantly improving patient care.
The administration also clarified that all recruitments against advertised vacancies are carried out through a transparent process and strictly on merit.
