Turkey Celebrates 104th Victory Day Anniversary with Special Ceremony at GHQ
A special ceremony was held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi to mark the 104th anniversary of Turkey’s Victory Day.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Turkish Ambassador Irfan Naziroğlu attended the ceremony as the chief guest. Senior officers of the Pakistan Army, officials from the Turkish Embassy and other distinguished guests were also present.
The ceremony highlighted the longstanding brotherly ties and close bilateral relations between Pakistan and Turkey. The ISPR said that relations between the two countries are based on shared values, mutual respect and unwavering support for each other.
During the ceremony, tribute was paid to the bravery, sacrifices and services of the Turkish Armed Forces.
The military’s media wing said the event also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening the longstanding defence partnership between the two brotherly countries.
Pakistan and Turkey have maintained close cooperation in various fields, particularly defence and security. The two countries regularly exchange military delegations and participate in joint exercises and other defence-related activities.
On the occasion of Turkey’s 104th Victory Day, ISPR also released a special song titled “Do Dil, Ek Jaan” (Two Hearts, One Soul) as a tribute to the enduring friendship between Pakistan and Turkey.
The song features Pakistani artists singing in both Urdu and Turkish. Through its lyrics and visuals, the song celebrates the historic brotherly relationship, shared cultural values and mutual affection between the two nations.
The special ceremony at GHQ reflected the strong bonds between Pakistan and Turkey and highlighted the commitment of both countries to further strengthening their strategic and defence cooperation.
Victory Day is commemorated in Turkey every year to remember the decisive Turkish victory in the Turkish War of Independence and the sacrifices made by the Turkish people and armed forces.
