Major Reshuffle in KP Police, Five Senior Officers Transferred

Officers reshuffled across key posts in Nowshera, Lakki Marwat, Bannu and Kohat

Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have carried out a major reshuffle at the senior level, involving the transfer and posting of five senior police officers.

According to a notification issued by KP Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed on August 31, 2026, the transfers and postings will take effect immediately.

Under the notification, SP Investigation Nowshera Shah Asad Khan has been relieved of his current post and directed to report to the Commandant of the Special Security Unit (SSU), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, for further posting.

Similarly, DSP Salahuddin has been transferred from his position as SP Investigation Lakki Marwat and posted as SP City Bannu.

DSP Sher Hassan, who was serving as SP City Bannu, has been transferred and appointed SP Investigation Lakki Marwat. Both officers will retain their existing pay scales.

According to the notification, DSP Ehsan Shah has been transferred from his position as SP Saddar Kohat and posted as SP Investigation Nowshera.

Meanwhile, DSP Rooh-ul-Amin has been transferred from his position as SDPO Headquarters Kohat and appointed SP Saddar Kohat.

The transfer and posting orders have taken immediate effect. Copies of the notification have also been forwarded to the concerned officers, police headquarters and other relevant authorities.
