YouTube Premium Prices Set to Increase in Several Countries

ISLAMABAD: YouTube Premium subscribers in several countries are set to pay higher prices for the ad-free video service from next month as Google begins revising its monthly subscription rates.

The new prices will take effect from September 23, 2026, with affected subscribers being charged the increased amount from their next billing cycle.

Reports indicate that in some European countries, the price of the individual YouTube Premium plan will rise from €13.99 to €15.99 per month. In Finland, the monthly subscription is expected to increase from €14.99 to €16.99.

Subscribers in Romania will also face a price increase, with the individual plan rising from 29 Romanian lei to 32 lei per month.

In Singapore, the individual subscription will reportedly increase from S$13.98 to S$15.98 per month, while the family plan will rise from S$27.98 to S$31.98.

Google is announcing revised subscription rates separately across different markets. The company has previously increased YouTube Premium prices in the United States, where some plans became up to $4 more expensive per month.

The latest changes are not being introduced globally at the same time. Instead, Google is implementing the price increases gradually in selected markets.

According to the reported pricing policy, subscribers affected by the increase will pay the revised amount from their next billing date, provided that their billing date falls on or after September 23, 2026.

The latest move could increase the cost of maintaining an ad-free YouTube experience for millions of subscribers in the affected markets.
