Government Schools Ordered to Grow Vegetables Alongside Providing Education

Education Department directs schools to cultivate seasonal vegetables, ensure proper care and share daily pictures

Muzaffargarh: Government schools have now been directed to cultivate seasonal vegetables alongside their educational activities. The Education Department has issued strict instructions to the heads of all government schools in this regard.

According to the official directive, schools must ensure the cultivation of seasonal vegetables within their premises. A responsible person must also be appointed at each school to oversee the cultivation and proper care of the vegetables.

The directive states that school administrations must ensure regular watering and proper maintenance of the crops to achieve satisfactory production. Schools where previous vegetable cultivation did not produce satisfactory results have been instructed to start cultivation again.

The Education Department has also directed school administrations to regularly monitor the cultivation and maintenance process. Schools have been asked to share daily pictures showing the vegetables and their care and maintenance.

According to officials, the initiative aims not only to promote vegetable cultivation in schools but also to familiarize students with agriculture, the environment and plant care through practical activities.

The Education Department has instructed all headmasters and school heads to strictly comply with the directives and ensure that no negligence occurs in the cultivation and maintenance of vegetables.
