Governor Kundi Urges Focus on Youth Jobs and Digital Awareness
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has called for stronger cooperation among educational institutions, government departments and youth organisations to address employment and social challenges facing young people and fresh graduates.
Speaking during a meeting with a delegation of the Pakistan Youth Vision Parliament at Governor House, Kundi was briefed on a survey highlighting difficulties faced by graduates in finding jobs, teacher-student relations and the growing spread of fake news on social media.
The governor said youth were a valuable asset for Pakistan and stressed that education should go beyond degrees. He called for market-oriented skills, professional training and employment opportunities to better prepare graduates for the job market.
Kundi also emphasized the importance of positive relations between teachers and students for improving educational standards.
Expressing concern over misinformation on social media, he said young people should be equipped with media literacy and digital awareness skills. He stressed the need to verify information before sharing it to prevent fake news from negatively affecting society.
The governor assured the delegation that recommendations concerning youth employment, education and social issues would be presented before the relevant forums. He also pledged his cooperation in efforts aimed at resolving challenges faced by the province’s younger generation.
